Showing your true colors

I just finished reading this article on CNN, and I must say that I am absolutely appalled. To think that a church would sanction such a absolutely disrespectful action is mind-boggling, and they wonder why they are losing members. To go to one of our country's fallen hero's funeral with signs reading G-d Hates America and fags and such inflames me to such an extent, if I weren't trying to go into the political arena, I would stage a counter demonstration right here in front of the White House.
I think its about time that the groups of people who are always beaten upon by the government and the religious hate-mongers group together and stand up to these hate-mongers, and sometimes I am actually forced to admit to that terrible stereotype of gays is sometimes all too true. If a majority of them would stop drinking, partying, having promiscuous sex and all that, and focused that energy into fighting for what we as humans deserve things like this would happen a lot less.
I have also begun to lose faith in the entire people of America, for allowing the government to come this close to a theocracy, what ever happened to the separation of church and state, and here we have enormous donations from religious organizations to help pass laws that follow their beliefs. This just doesn't sit well with me.
Sorry for the rant, but this kind of stuff just really makes me mad, I cannot stand hatred...
