My New Venture

Yes as you may have read on Esmiel's blog I have come up with a concept for a magazine called Bandant, and no its basically hot or sexy in French, *eye twitches towards Esmiel* and I put Gay Lifestyle Magazine under it in small letters. As of right now we are working on the first issue, which I hope will come out near the middle of November or end of December, seeing as right now the staff consists only of me, Esmiel, and Linuxess, and as of a recent personal problem she is sort of out of commission right now, which leaves me to do all the writing and graphics work for it, and wait out to flesh out concepts to the team, but I love creating things.
As for the general concept of what a gay lifestyle magazine in SL is, I want to make as close to what a real life magazine would be, without delving to far in RL things. Basically what I am hoping to and trying to achieve with this magazine is to bring SL and RL together a bit, to help integrate this so it can better our real lives so they can be more life the perfect exist stance in Second Life. But the general focus is on a more feminine and high-end approach, because I found most of the men's fashion mags in SL are either all about the mainstream preppy/metro-sexual look or about the grungy ripped punk look, I am trying to bridge those too and to bring a certain softness and such that isn't there.
The magazine will feature articles that deal with where are some of the best spots to go and see in SL, basic SL etiquette to help people get through the "n00b" stage faster, political and other issues affecting gays in the US,SL, and around the world, commentary on articles from the readers, interviews with the so-called "movers and shapers" of the gay SL community, introspects on SL relationships through one on one interviews, fashion reviews that try to match the trends occurring in the real fashion world each season, special erotic fiction that demonstrate how rich a tapestry of love can be woven in SL, and of course pin-ups of the models featured in each issue.
